I've just been thinking about my preamble-ing activities.<BR/><BR/>If I'm reading, then I sort the material by interest and then length : stuff I'm interested in or short articles get read first; longer or less interesting stuff goes later. (Having completed some material motivates me to read the latter material.)<BR/><BR/>If I'm writing, then I need to end the preceding session at a point where I know exactly what I'll be saying next. Then when I sit down at the next session, I can get started right away by writing what was on the "tip of my pen."
